Just want to get out and out some miles on the bike. Any takers?

We could do Bishops Castle, Westcliffe, Cripple Creek, or Montrose.

Streets no fun, I'll hit you up in late April or May as track season starts :D

I need to get 600 miles first, because a S1000RR is very little fun when it hits fuel cut at 9,000 rpm. And truth be told, it's pretty slow too. I had an R6 keep right with me!

Don't be a gay! We could do Deckers/Pine Junction but it'll be sandy.

And, yet again, Aaron shows the CSC how to keep it classy! :slap:

Yeah sandy. Thats what I'm stressin on mainly, well that and I'm feelin a bit broken and 7+ in the saddle with a huge sand threat on approach to every corner feels like a bit much right out the gate. No homo.
Wanna Ride up here?

Want to meet in CO Springs and do Cripple Creek? Shouldn't be very sandy because of how much it's traveled. Besides this is a relaxed pace, just trying to get out and put some miles on the bike.

Hahaha no thank you but I do appreciate the offer. I barely trust myself on my own bike.
Maybe on a track day I can go up and down the pits testing the 2015 quickshifter.

Get your ass down here. It's phenomenal. Besides it's still got the 9,000rpm limiter, so it's no quicker than a R6 (Tested!)

The quick shifter blows my mind. I actually like the 13's up shifts better, but the 15's are quicker. And then you get to downshift. Mind. Blown.

My garage door decided to derail it's self from the tracks as I was leaving. I'll try to meet up next time.

I was really looking forward to getting out today, but my battery died last night. I can't find a place that has one today that is open....

That was us! Joined by Clovis on his blue FZ1 wanna be Goldwing, and my Dad on his Triumph Tiger Explorer XC.

Good ride once we got past Cripple Creek, then we went on to Salida. Bike sits at 473 miles, getting close!

While fueling up in Salida some randy ass dude comes walking up and asks me "How is British Motor Works doing? Can they keep up with the Japanese bikes yet?" Mind was blown.

Roads weren't really that bad. A little bit of sand and water headed to Cripple Creek, but after that was clear and smooth. I bet up north they're probably in sandy shape still.

Oh, and for the record, the RR did pull away from the FZ1, shifting at 9,000. But it was really close!
