Hey everyone! I just got word the company I work for, Select Energy Services, is hiring once again. This is Oil Field work, so the hours are long and difficult. But for 100k+ a year to start, you can't really go wrong. The work would be out of Brighton and Greeley mainly, with jobs here and there in Wyoming. Shoot me a PM for me details/my number and we can dicuss further!

My wife's cousin has been working on rigs up in North Dakota. I'll see if he's interested.

Yeah, definitely don't feel like getting into this right now. So take it for what it is; a very high paying job that may or may not hold a future for a few individuals that will be hired on. Even if someone only came here for a month and work died off, and they got fired/laid off, whatever, that's still 10k in the bank more than they had before.

I I will however say, I'm not even slightly worried about my career path. I'm third generation Oul feild, and this is all I've done my entire life. I understand how boom and bust goes, and I know just how much the media over plays situations. I'm still on track to retire in this career, and do not foresee any career change for myself, or others that commit to this lifestyle. Like anything it has it's pros and cons, we just happen to be in a con at the moment. Prices will come back around in the coming months, and my company just picked up 5 major contracts. We have PLENTY of work.

Sorry, I was trying to say that hiring is a good sign for future oil prices, lol.

I'm certainly enjoying the cheap gas. I wish there was a happy medium where gas wouldn't go above 2.50.

Oh, haha!! One of the many benefits of the Internet; incredibly easy to misinterpret someone's meaning! But yes, things are coming back pretty steadily.

As odd as it seems, when you see high gas prices, that's actually when our economy is doing good! I know it seems backwards.
