Anyone interested? I've always wanted to see what I could do on my bikes vs what their stated times are. I've never been, really want to go, would be more fun with people because I'm sure you spend a good amount of time in queue. Would be interested in having a pre-ride if anyone is interested.

I'd be interested in going. I've been before but don't think my gear will pass inspection ie textile coat and 5 year old helmet. I'd go to observe this time. I'm h st getting back into riding so need to upgrade gear.

I don't recall them ever checking my helmet and Kim wears her textile. See...

They never checked the manufacturing date on my helmet either. From: http://www.bandimere.com/racer-corner/general-racer-faq

What do I need to race my street bike? Again, a valid state driver's license or NHRA competition license is required. NHRA approved helmet, denim or heavier pants, a leather jacket, leather gloves, and leather shoes that rise above the ankle. If the bike runs quicker than 10.99 or faster than 120 mph, additional requirements apply.

Do I need a helmet? A helmet is one of the first safety items that you may need to purchase. Any vehicle that runs faster than 13.99 seconds, and all motorcycles and dune buggy-type cars, must have an approved helmet. Helmets must have a SNELL rating of 2005 or 2010, as well as those with an SFI rating of 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, or 41.2A. (SNELL 2005 helmets expire on 1/1/2017 and SNELL 2010 helmets expire on 1/1/2022).

Clouds are building over the foothills and Belen says evening showers. I'm out for today but going to hit up csp for a lanyard or two and get back on the 1/4 mile track soon.
Be safe everyone.

Rain scared me away too. I'm leaving Sunday for 5 weeks business trip, I'll try to hit up Bandimere when I get back.

Rode to csp on 7th and kipling and asked for a lanyard. The lady handed me a handful. They must have a ton available. $5.00 off admission for racer or spectator. Cool.
Thanks Blair.

That was a great night, Dean. Very memorable and I had fun BSing with the crusty old drag racers while waiting in line. And that jet car...253 and 254 trap speed barely trying.

That was a great night, Dean. .Yes it was. I'm glad that Mike went that night and got Kim's wheelie.

What's it cost these days for Test and Tune Night? $5 off is cool, but I like the free passes we used to get.

I don't know how to change the date in the subject (is that do-able?), but bump for this upcoming Wednesday, the 26th

I'm out of town until Sep 4th. As soon as I'm back I plan to try and come up.

I also picked up some lanyards. Might throw a couple to my neighbors if I see them but I'd probably have one extra. Havent tried on my leathers yet, but assuming they fit I'm probably aiming for the early end.

Do the leathers have to be functional 1 pieces or 2 pieces that zip or is some waist exposure ok?
