Ride postponed for the 6th of September, not enough interest.

Not sure if links work on my phone but riding from bishops to I 25 canon city, I wouldnt recommend. Ive done that twice and too many cagers turning in and out of campgrounds this time of year. Better to just turn back to 67.

Nice route Damir! :) You'll have a lot of fun. This route has a little something for everyone. Lots of sweepers, lots of corners you can drop a knee in.

Put me down as a strong possible. Seems like weekend planning goes by the seat of our pants lately.

I can lead the 'fast' group if there ends up being one.

I doubt I could make it to Morrison from Colorado Springs by 7am so I'll plan on meeting you in Deckers or Woodland Park.

Sweet dude, thanks for the heads up!

Word dude, yea I know Aaron wanted to go too so we'll be meeting you guys at corner gas station at Woodland park if you want, it'd be crazy for you to leave at like 4 am just to come meet us to head south again lol... Yea dude not sure if the dates are working for everyone or not. I just want to do the ride before the SF exits my garage for good. I guess I forgot to also put on the poll who voted what lol... God it's been a while, I'm back to n00b mode  ... Which date works best for ya?... I know it's kind of on top of the first date and guess how much interest there is or maybe do both dates, hell I dk lol

You might be able to edit the poll to track who voted for what - or delete this tread and make a new one.

I voted for next Sunday 8-23 @ 7AM. I think 6AM on a Sunday would probably be too early for a lot of people but 7AM "should be" do-able.

Provided Mrs. Clovis will let me go riding again, I'm in for this ride :) She was nice enough to let me take off all day last Sunday to go riding.

From my house, Deckers is about 45 minutes away and that gas station in Woodland Park you're referring to is about 20 minutes from home. I think Deckers is roughly 45 minutes from MoCo as well (45 miles) - maybe a little longer. But I figure we could meet in Deckers at 7:45 or Woodland Park around 8:10 that morning.

Hopefully we can get a decent sized group, because this really is a fun route! I'll ask some of my non-CSC friends to come for this one. I think it's been close to 4 years since the last CSC group ride I did (2011 season with Grim). Plus, Damir, I haven't seen you in at least a few years buddy - back then you were still riding around your 07 R1 that was just like my old 07 R1. =)

If there ends up being a 'fast group' - I'm happy to lead or follow - let's have a good time! I'll be in my usual full leathers canyon attire.

I wasn't able to do that under any type of edit option and I remember being able to do it before.... oh well. To me it's looking like this Sunday would be the best deal for me as well, so I'm personally shooting for that time and date. 6-7 am wouldn't really make a change for me as I'm up at 4 am every day  ... we can meet up at Deckers shopping center if you want. Just be warned I'll be riding slow as hell, can't get one more point or I'm screwed... We'll see what the votes look like and go from there. Maybe do the 23rd and 6th

Bump it, I'm leaning toward doing one this Sunday and another one on the 6th.

BUMP! I'll be doing an update on first post about everything tomorrow afternoon/evening to get people that want to roll this Sunday and meet some of the southern peeps at the Deckers shopping center. PM me for any questions or concerns.

I think to edit the polls you have to go to edit and then click advanced (lower right corner).

I run with a radar detector so you can stick behind me maybe?

Looks like more people would prefer the following Sunday - that could work but just keep in mind that weekend is also Labor day weekend so there will probably be more traffic, BUT traffic is usually pretty light in that area anyways so probably won't be an issue.

Both weekends could be done, just not sure if I'd be able to make the 6th since I want to sell the bike rather quickly so maybe you guys could take the reigns on the rise for the 6th for those that want to make it then. If I have the bike still by then I'll tag along. Just after 4 more close calls going home last night it was confirmation to leave the street

First post updated under DATES and Meeting spot. Please PM me or let me know if you're showing up to meet me at MoCo, if nobody confirms by the morning of then I'll just ride straight to Deckers. Hope to see some of you and if not then next time.

Is anyone going on this ride? A fair amount of people polled, but no one else has posted in this thread.

Postponed, if someone else wants to take the reigns on this ride for the 6th go for it.

What's the gas station situation like? Anyone know if there is any stations out that way that serve E85?

From the Springs we usually refuel in Westcliffe. There are 2 or 3 gas stations in town, but I don't know whether they serve E85 or not.

No e85 in Westcliffe. There is an e85 station in Pueblo but it's kind of out of the way.

Ok. I guess gives me reason to work on my 85 octane tune.

I'll be in Utah for the next date had to vote on it sucking. Don't think with the holiday I would have gone though.
