All thread is about as soft as milk chocolate. There are plenty of 2-4 pack tie downs for $30 or less.

I think that is GNGSXR's point though, why spend $30 on DIY home built solution when you can buy tie downs that are proven to work for $30 or less. Working in construction, I have personally bent far thicker pieces of all thread with my hands. It is a creative DIY setup, but I wouldn't feel safe trusting that all thread to hold securely.

there is no give in that. thinking about repeated bumps in the road I see the all thread failing.

Plan on using a stand up wheel chock up front tied down. I have multiple bikes, and don't necessarily like spending close to 1k for something (two sets) that I have to drill holes in my floor for. Looking at trying to source a different axle through piece. (suggestions welcome)
The other bonus is that it's universal for all the shit in my garage so far.
