Reward for any help figuring out an IT internet issue

Hey all. I can't offer much, but tacos and beer? Mad respect? A blowy from Grim?


Work computer, used as a mobile terminal for Law Enforcement. Connected via Verizon Mobility Client.


Sitting at home, good network availability, computer plugged in (100% battery). Using Google Chrome without issue, also have my computer aided dispatch program, and an evidence upload program running. All 3 require internet, all 3 working good.


Randomly and without any input from me whatsoever, Google Chrome refuses to update any pages. It says my Internet Access is Blocked, and says Network Access Denied. My Dispatch and Evidence programs continue to run, and continue to update/upload via the internet, without issue. But Chrome won't work.


10 minutes later, again with no changes made, it starts working again. Then 5 minutes later same failure. No rhyme or reason.


Any ideas? I've Googled and YouTubed extensively, but none of the suggestions are for sporadic errors, all are for a continuous inability to connect.

Have you checked firewall and anti-virus? I hate Chrome. I only use Firefox. Do you have to use Chrome?

I use Chrome all day and it works for me, but that message is saying "blocked" which is different than not responding or not connecting. Something is blocking your traffic on your home network. Check your software firewall and its logs, also check your router and its logs.

Chrome is a fine browser. Never had any problems with it. I just don't like Google.... and Facebook and any other info stealing scum!!
