It's that time again... time to sign up for the 2020 Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade! This year's parade takes place on Saturday, March 14th! :bananna:

A huge THANK YOU to our returning sponsors, TFOG Wheelsports (http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/showthread.php?32167-***-CLUB-SPONSORS-***&p=458518#post458518), and, Mo-Door (http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/showthread.php?45833-Mo-Door-Garage-door-openers!)

and

:yay:

If you've never ridden in the parade with us, this is definitely something you have to experience at least once (as many of our "repeat offenders" can attest to)!

Fine-print stuff, but important, nonetheless:
Each participant* receives a commemorative t-shirt, designed specifically for this year's parade.
* "Participant" refers to those riding on a motorcycle in the parade (including passengers ). Commemorative t-shirts may be available for purchase for those riding in the back of the truck at an estimated cost of $14.00 (to be confirmed/finalized when the t-shirt order is placed).

Weather permitting, we ask that you wear the commemorative t-shirt during the parade (since the parade is mostly at a walking pace, most of us store our regular riding gear in the truck during the parade, and re-don it once we get back to the staging area).

We will have water and other refreshments available to keep you hydrated before the parade. We will not be supplying any alcohol (that doesn't mean you can't bring your own, just please be responsible). The consumption of alcohol is not permitted anywhere along the parade route.

If you want to ride in the parade, you must be able to provide proof of insurance - parade marshals may be asking for it. If you can't provide it, you will not be allowed to participate in the parade.

Here is the official list of parade rules (https://www.denverstpatricksdayparade.com/parade-rules).

Also, since we were banned from participating in 2016, because we did burnouts in 2015:
****** No burnouts or stunting of any kind will be tolerated******

Now that that's out of the way...
We are limited to 10 vehicles (1 truck up front, with our banner + 9 bikes), so...
Sign-Up will be on a "first-come, first-served" basis (with a backup/reserve list, if necessary)
Current Club Members get priority over non-members/friends (non-members/friends will be put on the backup/reserve list)

How to Sign-Up:

Reply to this thread & I will add your name to the Master List (below). T-shirt info will be collected later.
The back of the truck is reserved primarily for family members of participants (e.g. little kids), but space is limited - please specify how many spots you will need. If there is still room, we will consider letting other members participate in the parade by riding in the back of the truck.
Complete details will be distributed via PM to registered participants.
We usually meet for breakfast first, then ride to the pre-staging area together. Details will be sent via PM.

If you got an extra L that's paid for, I'll take it. Otherwise I'll just spend the dough on beer that comes in green cans.

Update on meeting up before the parade (because the Village Inn we always went to has closed):
I think I may have found a good, potential meeting spot (breakfast restaurant), right off I-70, and even closer to the staging area, but it will only work if our staging time is 10:00 again (I'm still waiting to receive that info from the parade committee), because the restaurant already has a large group booked for 10:00. I'll keep everyone posted as things progress.

I'd be down for breakfast if anyone still is. Unfortunately our biggest clients are hospitals right now and due to the ongoing craziness, they have halted some projects and our overtime is gone for the time being so no more saturday work for a while till this shit blows over.

Even thought the Parade has been cancelled, I still want to give a HUGE thanks to our returning sponsors Tfog Wheelsports (https://www.facebook.com/Tfog-Wheelsports-169193553094311/?hc_location=ufi&comment_id=Y29tbWVudDoxMDE1Nzk5OTA2MjgyOTgwNV8xMDE 1ODA2MDI1OTMyNDgwNQ%3D%3D) and Mo-Door (https://www.facebook.com/MoDoor/?hc_location=ufi&comment_id=Y29tbWVudDoxMDE1Nzk5OTA2MjgyOTgwNV8xMDE 1ODA2MDI1OTMyNDgwNQ%3D%3D) for agreeing to let us go ahead and print this shirts - these things will be collectors items - Parade shirts from the Parade that never happened! Wear them with Pride!

I have the t-shirts, and propose we meet around 9:30-10:00 AM (tomorrow, Saturday 3/14) at the Old West Pancake House (https://www.facebook.com/oldwestpancakehouse/?hc_location=ufi&comment_id=Y29tbWVudDoxMDE1Nzk5OTA2MjgyOTgwNV8xMDE 1ODA2MDMwMTczNDgwNQ%3D%3D) - (3600 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80216 - https://goo.gl/maps/NxYYw9sCWrcc5Qpx7 (https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fgoo.gl%2Fmaps%2FNxYYw9sCWrcc 5Qpx7%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR374yZ4TLo0pgynDtQhjhVZHLbo2ng V3lTkYVP1cwteyG928oePlZcbxIU&h=AT03weq1QQ5CpR-_NT3G9j2nShCePJCh1WFJy3QsQ2vEQjgsjUFF4frccYQVyKwzK ARG_jok4bosp_jWmK2gQ5odBA-c2qbyUBPBb5mXxVHdYOYWP1KeidKxDWcmpYEw7Q) - in the La Quinta parking lot) for breakfast, camaraderie, and to hand out the shirts. We have space reserved for 15 people. Weather isn't looking quite as good as the long-term forecast did (34F at 9AM), so I'll probably cage it down (you do what you feel is best for you), and we'll figure out if a post-breakfast ride is going to happen while we're there.
