Hows the riding near Steamboat? Any recommendations?

I am thinking of a long weekend there this summer - coming in from Utah.

Rabbit Ear Pass is fun. Two lanes up, one down... like Berthod Pass.

From Steamboat:

Go East on Us 40 to 131

South on 131 through Oak Creek and Yampa to HWY 134

Take that East back to 40, then back to Steamboat, or on to Kremmilng or wherever

134 is the jewel here. Absolute blast of a road, low traffic, good twisties, lots o' fun!

Heard 134 was paved late last year.

+1 on the 131 to 134 loop. Just be aware the 134 is open range, so keep an eye out for large 4 legged critters in the road. ;)

Here's a pic of our last trip through that area

I'm sure the stoner mountain cops troll the CSC for potential targets. OK! "Wheres the bong cooter? That pesky sportbike should be comin over rabbit ears any time now."
