I own a tube bender and a welder so I thought what the heck, might as well try it. I think it turned out pretty good. My welds aren't as pretty as I would have liked but they are plenty strong so I guess I can live with that for now.http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/uploads/DSCN0555.JPG

Yes it was very cheap to build, $7 for materials, used wheels, leftover paint and a little time. Thats what I'm all about.

the rear stand looks Great!!! soooooo, your next project would be.....
** a front stand ** set it up with a basic fork/spool lift AND an adapting unit for a head-set lift. document the materials and dimensions and go into business with Ebay. a whole lot of possibilities,

Good job, looks strong as hell and professionally made!
As for being alot cheaper then a Pit Bull :?
What is retail on a tube bender, welding machine and the time it takes to learn to make something that nice??
$139 for a pit bull is way cheaper for a no skilled racer like me :D

yes but I bought it to do many other projects that I have gotten paid for such as deck handrails on the houses that I build. I also get to build rock buggies and dune buggies and grill guards and ladder racks so on and so on. So the tools have paid for themselves. horray for me. :D

Nice job!

The only comment I would make is that it looks like it might be a bit of a "finger crusher". Perhaps a handle that is elevated a bit so that you don't crush your fingers when you drop it. :dunno:

Id take a rear and front stand. me ditto!! the front would be a simple braced angle to catch the forks.... an adapter for a headset lift would be a bit complicated and more one-off custom... I could scrounge for bulk sources for materials like tube and wheels, etc. bend the handle back a bit or throw in a short 90....

thanx,
henry

thanks for all the interest and good advice. I may be able to do something for you guys but can't promise anything yet. The front stand is in the works for both kinds. I'll let you know when I get them done how it went. The fork stand will be easy but the other might be more of a challange. Thats what I like about doing this stuff so it should be fun. Thanks again.

soon my friend very soon. I have been testing my rear alot lately and think it will work very well. I looked at a friends stand that he has for his busa and mine is way more stable than his. That made me feel pretty good and I also think mine look better than that guys. The bender that I use doesn't crush the corners like that and I think that one looks crooked to me. should have a front one done pretty soon. I'll keep you informed.

that blue thing is UGGGGGLY! I like the more sharper angular shape of of Cosp's stand

absolutely, i wholeheartedly agree. Cosp's stand is a sweeeet looking unit. My point is if 'junk' is on the market, quality stuff should do quite well!!

Come on Cosp, I think demand is building up quite a bit, now we're gonna have to steal urs if u don't share and sell us one :P

Stealing is illegal, and you could go to jail fo it.
While you're in jail, I'll pay for my "cosp" made rear stand and you won't! :321:

I need the weather to play nice so my buddies with there f4i and busa to bring their bikes over so I can measure them. I've got the one for the 600rr. I need to know how close they are so mabe I can just make one stand to fit all of them.
