Brake lines

Hey riders,
I am going to install some goodridge braided lines on my 636 and on the packaging it states that lightly oiling the banjos and the bolts can prevent corrosion. My question, what in blue blazes do I oil them with that won't pollute my brake fluid?

I have never done that nor have I ever heard of that... Never had any problem. I also use GR on both my bikes....
