my buddy decide to do a bit of passing in a area that was not marked.
the park cop pulled him over and informed him that since it was not marked for passing that he shouldn't have passed.
he got out of the ticket when our whole group walked up.

dude is alway's trying to play catch up:slap:

Rain's OK but not at 11,000 feet. This time of year it would be butt-azz cold and could be snowing.

A funny thing happened on the way to the....yeah, I fell today. What is it with me and ditches anyways?!!! Do I like to have intimate encounters with the dirt and grass in them or something? :banghead:

Good thing...I'm fine. Bad thing...bike's completely tore up on the right side, which is really stupid since I went down on the left.

So, as I'm falling and letting go of my bike, I'm watching it flip and turn in the ditch as I slide along on my side and then lay there belly first in the ditch...just a cussing and hitting the ground with my fist...grrrr.:cussing:

Ok, so the skinny...ya really wanna know how stupid I am? I'm taking this sort of S turn and lean right and then get ready to lean left and I'm leaning left, but as I do that I tell myself to get my eyes back up on the road ahead and then for some ridiculous reason I have no idea how to explain (stupid brain malfunction?), I'm freakin out because I find myself target fixating on that ridiculous ditch.

God, what a freakin' idiot...and yes, I'm saying that so no one says that for me...I'm kickin myself enough thank you and I'm tellin' everyone here so that no one freaks out or anything...oh, and so maybe some other noob (yes, I've been riding a little over a year now), doesn't make the same mistake...hopefully.

One more thing...I'm not that pissed...not really, just very unhappy about my bike...I know a person's body is harder to fix, but well, maybe you all get it.

Lastly...and this is for -=LiQuid=-...THANKS BUNCHES. You're alright. Can I buy ya a beer sometime?...I'll be riding in my cage for a while:(

mtnairlover-

Just glad that you are alright. I understand what you're saying about the bike and all...I would be pissed too. But, it really is much more important that you are o.k.

Take it easy for a bit and get your thoughts straight. There is a tomorrow for you, and the bike can be fixed and/or replaced. Remember that.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Still keep picturing that darn ditch and the approach in my mind...I can't get that image etched out...yet. Seriously, though, ya think I would have learned my lesson from my first fall, which was only the second day I had been riding last year, but it was the very same inane move.

Ah well...at least now, I know more people who can offer advice and shops to visit in the next couple of days...that's another plus.

See, Frank, when you're nice like that, it's really hard to think of you as an A*hole;)

I'll be callin' ya. Besides taking a look at my banged up baby, you can take a gander at my larger than average knee...ice is doing an ok job, so is the Ibuprofin (thanks Mel)...oh, and then there's this racetrack lookin' scratch down the backside of my right leg as well...hell if I know how that happened:dunno:

Hoping it doesn't take too much longer to get to the laughing-at-myself-outloud phase of this ordeal.

Oh, here's one for ya...so, I get home, and my daughter wants to go to the store, so I take off my trashed jeans and start getting ready and lo and behold, what's this? I've got dirt up my ass...no shit! It was dirt. Ok, maybe TMI...but, I've got to start laughing about this sometime.

Sorry to hear about the pit in your stomach, Daemon. I do remember your pre-ride talk. I got lucky I guess, since I did ride home. Great color in the pics, btw. Sorry, Fritz, about the road rash...I didn't suffer any, as I did go down in a pile o'dirt. I wasn't even thinking about my camera, which was in my bag. I even forgot about the kickstand kill switch when I tried restarting her after hauling her out of the ditch. The guys were quite helpful, though, which made my calming down period go a little quicker.

I'll check on my private messages.

Sadness is sorta waning, but the reality is that I'm thinking no matter what I do with my bike...file insurance, not file insurance, I'm going to be paying a pretty penny.

Oh, I may post up the photos of my Zed that I took once it was in my garage...eh, maybe just one last little tear to shed:cry:

I hope your ride was a bit better than mine, though.

I'm not chuckling at the pain they may have suffered, just the idea that I'm such a freakin' noob, and yet I'm in good company today at least.

My 16-year-old son asked if I was drunk when I called, which is why I kinda had bit of a hissy with him. He can be such a jerk sometimes...but, other than that, he's a good kid. I did get a huge hug from my two daughters when they saw the mangled mess and the look of complete and utter despair on my face.

Few days in the cage, huh? Yea I'm thinking I might not be able to break free of mine for maybe, um, a month:dunno:

Well, just PM me when you're back up this way.

Oh no, oh no, oh no. :(

Cathy - call me!!!!!!!!!! Or I will get with ya tomorrow. Damn it. :(

After we got home from the family day, we did a quick ride up to FTC and back via Horsetooth/Masonville. Felt very tight on the bike - weird vibes. So I just went :turtle: - umm, not hard to do on the ninjette. ;) I think I was channeling your pain, girl.

Oh...and...welcome to the club! (Yeah, I don't count your second day drop). Gawd, it's a crappy feeling picking up a mangled bike - but then again, just grateful you were up and around to be dismayed (if ya know what I mean).

Ugh - hit submit too quick...
My condolences to the guys who went down today too. I don't think I've met any of y'all yet but just very grateful that everyone was relatively okay.
