For anyone interested... this will be a medium paced ride. Of course you will have your more "spirited" groups as well.

I figure maybe we will do a route from leaving morison going on 6th and heading up 46.....up to 119 and over to nederlands. Then off to estes park for lunch?

Of course this is not set in stone, open to any good ideas. I want to get some miles put on the bike though......

-Leaving Lafayette (287 & S boulder Rd) Starbucks @ 0815 AM heading to morison conoco gas station
-Leaving Morison Conoco @ 0915-0930

Post up if interested or just email or pm me.....

Thanks,

470, exit morison. If southbound then turn right and conoco is right around the corner. If northbound, exit at morison and turn left, go under the 470 overpass and it's on your right side.

Jay, when you settle on a route would you pass it along to me? I need to get out and ride and learn some of these roads which won't happen from my couch. However, my version of slow and easy is a snails pace for the rest of you and I don't want to hold you guys up again or force people to go looking for the damn n00b who's lagging too far behind. Maybe I'll luck out and meet up with the pack at the mid or endpoint of the ride.

Don't worry about holding anyone up. Some of us are here to help you..... Just show up and all is good. We will have meeting points which we will discuss before leaving so that we are all on the same page.

Depends on the route... pace... etc... I'd say plan on 4-5 hours.. Last week we were scheduled to leave at 9:15.. didn't leave until almost 10:00 so there was an extra 45 minutes... plus stopping to eat... etc... :dunno:

It will only take you five extra min from 225 and parker. The conoco is on the west side of 225 off of alemeda. You can't miss it on the left hand side. We're going to meet there at 8:00 and leave at 8:15

Thanks to all I had the chance to meet for the first time - And a special word of gratitude to both Pilot and J - well organised, considerate of all levels of ability and my fisrt glimpse of playing around in the mountains - what better introduction or company could a guy ask for !

Thanks again- I had a fab time, even with the onset of hypothermia and frostbite. Now, some winter gloves and jacket will see me ready for the next group outing.

Pilot, Terra, Ken, Bassil, Joe,

Thanks for a great ride today. This was by-far the best ride that we have had in Colorado. Thank you for being so friendly, and thanks for the awesome pics, Pilot. We look forward to riding with you guys again as soon as we get winter gloves. Thanks to the other guys who were riding with us as well. Sorry, we met too many people today, and we forgot some names.

Terra, I thought that you and I should send a special thank you to the gentlemen in the Jeep who made our day that much more exciting. Now the cops are not only looking for me in California, but Colorado as well. Thanks again, guys.

A few cornering shots from todays ride. These were taken at Lookout Mountain around 5:30 this evening. This is a great place, at that time of the day, to get these photos. My thanks to Terra, Patrick and UnSuk, and Bassil for the fly bys. That's also the order of the pics. Proof that I can lean over, just a bit (on my "touring" bike) is in the last pic. Great group of riders today. Thank you Jay for putting together another excellent Sunday ride.

Definetely a good ride. It was great to see that many people show up (30+), especially on such a baumy morning. In the end though, it was down to 10 of us at lunch (Estes Park Brewery), and then 6 of us on Lookout mountain. It was great to meet everyone and hope to ride with everyone again. I'm exhausted and going to bed now.

Patrick & UnSuk: Great to meet you two. Hope you like it here in CO.
Pilot: This is record time for you to get pictures off of your camera!
