UPDATE - For those that are interested, looks like route will be Squaw pass down Mt Evans to Idaho Springs.... for a benefit for Jason Weldy @ Mangia Trattoria.

[edit by Jenny: The benefit is for the family of Jason Weldy, who was killed riding his motorcycle.]

It's on the corner of 15th & Miner in IS. Cater-corner from Tommyknocker Brewery.
-End of Update

Hey everyone....

according to weather.com (for now) looks like this weekend will be in the 70's with low chance of rain so if you want a group ride, post up and be at the usual meeting spots.....

0800 - Lafayette Starbucks (287&S Boulder Rd)

0900 - Morison Conoco Gas (Morison exit off 470 next to Bandimere raceways)

Route...... to be determined by group.

PS - If you got chatterboxes, bring em.

No worries, it's pretty easy to miss a group of 10 or 12 colorful sportbikes. :drink:

Also glad to know that if you thought someone behind your crashed you went rushing back to make sure they were allright. :321:

As soon as we got to the end of the canyon we waited for 5 minutes think you were behind us? Then rode the entire canyon back to see where you were. We though maybe you turned so we burned up 285 to catch you guys at Deckers....but you were no where to be found. :(

So....are you riding with Jenn'y group (who are meeting at Erico at 9am) or riding as your own group via the same route and end location?
Anyone else on the south end/Highlands Ranch wanna meet up for the ride to Erico?

Slo
Fri Sep 29th, 2006, 03:52 PM
Figure I would still goto Lafayette and Morison meet spots since there are others from several forums that will already be meeting there.

I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable ride. Funny, here in Vegas there just don't seem to be as many sportbikes. And, safety gear consists of a helmet, t-shirt, tennis shoes and shorts. It must be the heat. But, there is a helmet law and so all the HD riders wear skid lids (mostly the WWII German style).

I have a friend who lives in Lake Havasu and because of the heat its just the opposite of here. The bikes stay in the garage until October then they ride all winter long until it gets too hot then its to the back of the garage except for the occasional outing.

During the Summer there aren't too many weekends or week nights he isn't out on the boat. How he can stand to live there through the summer is beyond me. I prefer my 4 seasons and take the best of what each has to offer.
