would it be possible to send pictures in the private messages, instead of having to post them for everyone to see, just wondering

Actually you can.
If you are in the chat room in a private conversation - you can send a file privately.

There are size restrictions and such - but you can.

It's not a bad idea - the old forum software used to allow it. Ralph knows the s/w, so I'll wait for him to chime in.
