Does anyone know at what temp on a 2000 R1 the fans should kick on?

I would imagine around 220 or so?? I don't have an R1 obviously.....
the gixxer kicks in around 220 though.

My R1 comes on at 221 and shuts off at 212. :up:

Yeah my R1 comes on at 220 and shuts down when the fooker cools down enough. I hate it when my bike gets hot...my ass gets hot from the engine heat.

My 2000 came on at 220. My 02 also comes on at 220.

The R6 is wired so that I can turn it on or off at will. I generally turn it on when it gets to 180.......... She likes to be cool 8) haha

Actually the opposite is true. Any engine will make the most horsepower when it is hotter, provided:

- the mixture is correct to avoid either predetonation or an overrich condition caused by the hotter/thinner intake charge

- the temperature can be controlled

If anyone cares, I can explain why but I don't have time right at this minute
