Found 2 prices for the CB and all the goodies:

$229 :http://www.motorsports-network.com/cgi-bin/dbsearch.exe?mdb=/mnproducts.mdb,tbl=data1,dbtype=2000,template=/dbcart3/return.htm,DB_Category=cb27

$235 :http://sporttour.com/chatterbox.htm

This beats the guy at Johnson's corner by a long shot- retail is $300.

Most LDriders that have these recommend a whip antenna- I guess the stiffer they are the more likely they are to shake loose.

Still waiting to hit the powerball...

Wow, that is quite the kit for $229! Doesn't sound like you'd need anything else to make it work! (Well, would need a box to let you use the headset for an mp3/CD player, but that's easy).

Ralph- that includes the external audio in jack that gets over-ridden by the CB traffic. It has everything you need.

sorry, rain on this party...

actually, a number of places state:
"Interface unit for intercom and audio input to be available soon"

maybe these are old text cases and the product has been upgraded to include this feature. ask before you buy. :)

Has anyone tried these intercoms/headsets?

I have only seen one review that was kinda poor. I guess you get what you pay for.

I have not, but would say if you're using it for rider to passenger it should be fine. Bike to bike might be a little different though.
