    Why in the name of all that is holy would they risk bike and rider to test a street tire that is in no way capable of dealing with that kind of power and never designed to perform as a race tire?

    A Note: He and Rossi both tested the tires at Sepang, and achieved lap times that would have easily qualified for last year's race.... Street tires are a lot closer to race tires than they were just a couple of years ago....

    Closer but not there. Guys are bitchin' about running DOT race rubber on the liter bikes in Super Sport..
