front fork seal replacement?

I have a 2001 GSXR-600 and I need to replace my oil seals, I was wondering if anyone knew is you have to disassemble the top half of the fork to remove the inner fork from the outer fork or if you can just pull them apart, any help would be appreciated. THanks.

Well, I am just getting ready (once I get parts and all) to do the ones on my 97 GSXR. They should be the same ganaeral concept and I have a full Suzuki Service manual if you would like to take a look at it.
Oh yeah, and have you alreaday gotten supplies to do it? If so, where, and how much was it all (seals, fluid & oil)?

I haven't gotten the supplies yet, I'll let you know when I do though, I'm hoping its not too expensive.
