    Fire Roads?

I'm thinking about getting an XR650L and I'd like to do some off-roading but want to make sure there will be places to ride. It's a big bike and with my lack of experience on dirt, getting better is going to take some time so so I was wondering about fire roads and probably some easier jeep roads to ride around Denver. Whaddya think?

Cripes maybe I need to spend less time on the bike and more getting the 75 CJ5 ready for the trails... for love of money.

Does one need a street legal, plated motorcycle to ride on fire roads? Or do you just need the OHV sticker and a spark arrestor?

Plated, yes. Street legal is a grey area.

That's why I always say "plated". Although, I did add mirrors to both our bikes. Freakin' useless, but might help in not getting pulled over...

Actually, I only put them on for our Vegas trip because I wasn't sure how strict the popo were going to be out there.

Dualstar sells a mirror that puts the mirror directly on the bar- it's actually useful most of the time.

Bummer, I need to find places to ride our non plated bikes at. That is a neat web site.
Remember, I need to find places to ride at that is also kid friendly. I ride with my 12 year old and 8 year old.
