What type of tapeis used to tape up a head light for racing?

I need to tape up the head light on the F4i but not sure what type of tape used to do that.

What type of tape is it? Is it that 100mph duct tape stuff?

Don't use duct tape ... unless you enjoy spending hours taking off the glue

When I took my class, I used painter's tape and it came off nice and easy with no residue left behind ... even with the light on.

Yes. Masking tape works good. Also, disconnect your lights/blinkers...

Hmm, I didn't disconnect my lights or blinkers and I had no problem with respect to heating up the tape or the light being a nuisance to the other riders in the class. But, if you able to easily disconnect them, by all means do so!
