    Are Waist Zippers Universal?

I have a Joe Rocket jacket, but found a sick deal on some Alpinestars pants. Will the waist zipper on my Joe Rocket jacket fit the zipper on the Alpinestars pants?

Has anyone tried matching these two brands?

The zippers aren't universal, but some are compatible. The pants (if new) will come with both sides of the required zipper. You can have someone sew in the correct one to your jacket if they don't work.

If you like the pants get them, the alteration, if it's even necessary, will be cheap.

FYI, I bought a Tecknic jacket and lower pants. The zipper's weren't compatible even though they were the same company. However it only cost me 50 bucks to get the new zipper sown into the race pants.

If you're working with leather, it normally costs a little more to have it done at a leather shop.

I know someone with Shift pants and jacket and they arent compatable.

From what I have heard, Joe Rocket stuff isn't compatable with any other brand.
