    Radar Recommendations?

All this talk about bacon patrol I thought I might as well start this thread. I know there are many good radars like valentine, but I have had luck with my rocky mountain radar/jammer. Yes cops can still get your speed but it does help give you a little extra time to slow down and makes it more difficult for them to get the speed. They also have a ticket rebate program with restrictions like the ticket must say that the speed was taken with radar or laser and can't be more than 15 over, school zone, construction zone, etc. Look over the full coverage before purchasing. Another thing that I am having trouble with is finding a way to mount it to the bike so that I can hear/ see it go off. Any help in this area would be appreciated. I do like this thing in the cage I have gone by a cop doing 90+ in a 55 and he didn't get me after I slowed down. For people that don't know much about radar detectors look at the range, 360 degree coverage not 180, and speed of detection. Also keep in mind no matter what you get you will have false alarms, but fewer when out of the city. Hope this helps! What kind do you use if any?

Pretty nice. You can program out bands that cops in your area don't use. Get occasional false positives on the laser. Rates up there with the Valentine. Can get it on Amazon for around $200.

i use an Escort Passport 8500 x50 that i've hung in the windscreen. I use a Screamer piezo horn that amplifies the audio chirps. It has been effective for the last 2+ years. It isn't cheap but neither are the tickets. Ka and X work very well but POP works for you when they use it on someone just ahead of you.

At 3am, a Kansas LEO used POP out of the wooded median of I-70. Just little ol moi, I was justly awarded with her entry "140++" and the instruction to visit the DA.

Time has passed and Kansas welcomes me again...
