Seems as though you've got a knack for getting me at my "best" too there Mayo. Not to worry, I can always get you when you least expect it.

Most definitely it was a very good time today.

I'm sorry we didn't get to ride with more peeps, but I understand about the size of groups too. I'm just glad that so many showed up at the various places and that we had a chance to meet face-to-face. Now, we've got to try it out again and do something a tad different...not sure exactly what, but we can get our heads together and come up with something fun.

    Thanks everyone!!! You guys rock!!!

    I got pics too!

We got there at 9sh and snagged some quick breakfast (cutting in front of a line ). Breakfast was a couple of eggs, German hash browns, wheat toast, and sausages. The potatoes were very good, of course I don't get them all that often

From Lyons we made a nice jaunt up 7 to Peak to Peak. We stopped on the side of the road to let the rest of the group catch up.

    Looking back down the road.

Rita wanted me to ride back with her so I rolled back to be with her.

I think Pilot might have a pic or two as well.

I think I'm gonna check out a faster connection and find out what it takes to upgrade...waiting for pics to load is plain silly.

    Re: north meets south....memorial day

A small group decided to grab something at the deli vs the buffet. Rita grabbed a sandwich and we sat down and chatted. Rita decided she was done. We shook hands with all, waved at the others and went out for a quick walk. When we got to the bikes, most every else had come out. Rita got a little help backing her bike out (thanks) and we were off. We headed down 6 to 93, over to 128 and on home.

I think it was a pretty good day overall. Thanks for arranging the ride and I look forward to more this summer.

Great pics, good ride. Nice armpit farts from me - it's a European thing! Breathed a mighty sigh of relief as Mr Policeman went sailing past!!

He was heading the other way and we were all within the limit. The car maintained the same speed as the cop passed him from the other direction so I guess he was in his sights. There probably won't be too many times when you see a cop bust past 12 or so bikes to get to a car.

Yeah, that was a fun ride yesterday. Nice to meet people and put faces to names. Looking forward to the next get-together. Nice vid of the cager getting pulled over, daemon. I was hoping he was after that guy instead of us.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
