So are we leaving a little later now? I can be there at nine same with chef
Yea, I think a little later is reasonable, but definitely be there by 9 so we can get fueled figure out where we are going, and get on our way.
Just polishing some Foldgers! YEAH! See you clowns in an hour!
Just wanted to say it was nice seeing you all, and meeting a few of you riders from up in Longmont (Andrew, Chris, etc.). I had a good time riding with you guys and hope we get to ride again this summer. Sorry about the big ClusterFaHck at the beginning when all the groups merged together - and I hope our pace wasn't too slow for some of the more aggressive guys that jumped on board.
I hope you Longmont guys got a good glimpse of some of the roads down here. Let's do it again sometime!
PS: Any word on how the guy on the Triumph is doing after that fall? I hope his shoulder is OK.
Fall? What?! Huh? Was it the gravel coming north out of Deckers? I hope he is doing alright.

Well, he made it back out ok so hopefully he is doing alright. It sucks that his bike is going to need some repairing but I must say the crash was quite a site to see, still not sure exactly what happened.
The guy that had the bmw and the nice camera needs to get on here and post some shots up...
Thanks for sweeping so no one gets left behind

Hey all, Its Tyrel. I just wanted to say thanks for letting me and my friend ride with you. Anyway i really enjoyed the ride. if anyone is doing anything 2 weekends from now let me know.
The guy on the daytona is doing good. We made it home, took us 2 hours and an average speed of 25-30 mph. Steve, says post up those pictures. He wants to see them anyway, His shoulder is pretty f*d up. Probably wont be able to use it for a couple days I ended up having to drive his bike the rest of the way home.

Damn, Tyrel, wtf happened? When did it happen?
I don't remember seeing much sand on the road from Deckers to 285, but we weren't really moving after we left you guys at Zoka's.

Be polite. Be professional. But be prepared to kill everyone you meet.

That be it.
Right after the stop in Deckers. Some of the faster guys headed up first, and then we all took off. I don't think it was even a mile out of Deckers, one of the first right handers... line of gravel down the middle of the road. I guess he hit it a little wrong and went out.

From what i got out of it, he broke lose the rear tire, and swerved into oncoming traffic. I don't know what happened from there, but it sounds like he panic'd and locked up the front tire. Causing his bike to go end over end.
Its alright though. He learned something today not just about his bike, but about how he reacts!
Funny thing, how someone spends 8 years in the marines. 2 tours in Iraq, etc... Never lost his cool when he was getting shot at, or when re-inforcements never came (that's one hell of a story). But all it took was some gravel, and some excessive speed.

Hope he is doing good. I did that ride to Deckers three days ago, someone just laid down his bike on one of the turns. I hope Corey and all ya'll had fun!
Thanks for a really nice ride. It was a bit mellower than I'm used to, but it was exactly the right speed for the scenery. Y'all got some pretty valleys down South.
Thanks Cory for sweeping and here's hoping Steve heals fast.
I'll ride with you guys any time.

Was that the kid on the brand new Daytona? I ran into the sweeper and the Daytona at the Pine Junction intersection and talked with them at Deckers. They had turned in front of me at Pine Junction and I caught up to tell them that the rest of the group was still behind me. They turned back towards Pine at Deckers and I continued on to Woodland Park and the Springs. The Daytona was having problems holding his line and even crossed over the center line in one section while I was behind him. Hate seeing people get hurt.
Sorry couldn't hang with the group on Saturday, the pace was too far off for me. The weather was great and I got to ride a M109 R down at Apex. New bike maybe added to the fold before too long.
Time to fly - SPEED TV coverage of race day starts shortly.
Cheers.
