Might try Boulder bike works in Longmont. I know it sounds funny, but thats the name. I think he used to be in Boulder a few years ago.
Check the forsale forums on gixxer.com, and post something in 'wanted' if you don't see one there.
There was a stator in the gixxer.com parts F/S area for an 03 600, I think this fits yours ya? $45 ain't bad.
