    chain question

Another noob questions but I just need to make sure.

My buddies bike is a 15/46 sprocket with an RK chain on it he didn't have to take any links out. If he puts the extentions on, will he need to take 5 links out of another chain and put it on his RK, or did I tell him right that you can buy a longer chain?

    Re: chain question

I would say just get a new chain. Unless his current chain is brand new and he can find one of the exact same brand and model, but either way he ends up with multiple splices, which I would probably try to avoid.

His current chain is brand new, and it wouldn't be long enough if he put the extentions on it.

skip the extensions? Why does he think he needs them?

    Re: chain question

He wants the extentions for drag. But if he gets them, his current chain wouldn't be long enough, and it is brand new.
