He is also an ass. He got kicked out of the Iron Butt for mistreating volunteers, if I remember correctly...

Is that sarcasm? I can never tell with you. A great ride, indeed, just not a very cool dude to hang out with when he's riding, apparently. To check my statement, he wasn't entered in the '03 IBR and I seem to remember hearing the info about the volunteer/s from Steve Chalmers with the 1088. Will probably knows the story better than me though.

he is a bit of a butt munch when he's trying to get it done. most highly competitive people probably are though. either way, i've hung out with him a couple times (once at Ron Ayres house in Texas for BBQ) and he's not a bad guy when he's not moving.

i agree with the disqual for jacking with the volunteers, though. that was a good call on the IBA side. if they're not getting paid (and they're not) they shouldnt have to put up with that crap.

I thought I was crazy on my 900ss doing Des Moines to Denver in a day. This guy is incredible! They've said the Multistrada is truly multipurpose and I guess this proves it.

    WELL DONE! Go the Duck!

Had a mild chat with Gary Eagan two winters back at the MC show. Sure, he's high on what he's done on those rides. Heck, I would be too. He gets paid well enough by Ducati to travel to all the shows- not a bad job. Ride MC, hang with show girls, ride some more. No clue on mistreatment of volunteers, so I'll stay out of that one.

    Pretty cool.

I just wonder what zeta is selling?
