    my new signals falsh, but.....

ok i replaced my stock front turn signals with flush mounts. they work but they blink super fast now. like it does when it trys to tell you that one of your signals is not working. i disconnected the battery thinking that it would rest any kind of chip or sensor, but still super blink. the wires are hooked up correctly because if you change them then they wont work at all. i read the directions and it's all hooked up right. how do i get it to blink at regular speed?

Sounds like a blinker fluid issue

    Are they LED bulbs?

It's a pretty common problem, something like a different resistor I think. I just said to hell with it, I can live with it blinking fast.

They're blinking faster because they have less load on the system than your stock lights. The blink rate is controlled by a resistor-capacitor timing circuit, and because of the decreased current draw, the timing circuit takes less time to charge and discharge. The only way to fix it, is to wire a resistor (I don't know the value, that will depend on the light you took out and the one you put in) in series with the new lamp.

You see the same thing putting in the LED lights.....

Yes, the front and rear signals are linked.

I have a turn signal equalizer (resistor) that I can sell ya. Came with my flushmounts but in the end I didn't need to use it.

I believe it's the Stage II found here

"Load Equalizer"... Quite the fancy name for a resistor with a couple wires soldered on the ends...

Like rforsythe said, you need a different resistor to slow the speed of the flashing. LED's use a fraction of power than regular halogen bulbs....that's why they are becoming more popular on Emergency vehicles and motorcycles due to the limited sources of power. The draw back to LED's are there unidirectional path of emission. However, LED manufactures are recognizing this problem and marrying small reflectors around each LED to broadening the path of emission.

Resistors are VERY cheep but be sure to get the proper resistance otherwise you may blow your new lights. You will also need to place it in front of your capacitor to reduce the speed of flashing. If not...you will only reduce the intensity of the LED.

turtle...you can either do the resistor trick or even easier, go to autozone and pick up a heavy duty flasher (made by triton #el-12 if i remember right) and replace your flasher with it. wires up easy and will fix your problem

2000 tillis plus stuff with some polished stuff and some carbon fiber stuff and a little bit of tlr stuff and some gsxr stuff

Sounds like you need a heavier blinker fluid!! Maybe a 20A50W weight. Should help out. Also a few vendor stickers will help with that acceleration problem you have. Even help out on your rear-wheel HP.

Not only the correct resistance but make sure it can handle the load (proper Watt rating). Otherwise it'll just smoke and you'll be blinkless.

Hey man, I'd just leave em. Retards in cars seem to be blind to motorcycles anyway, so a strobe light for a turn signal will just let people see you easier. Same reason i ride with my brights on during the day.
