Do you know of anyone given citation for that stupid ordinance? `Cause I don`t. Yo can put any exhaust n your 600 and be not as loud as stock Hardley.

Nah, no one I know has gotten in trouble for it. I honestly wouldn't care cause it's not like I jump on the throttle every corner so it should be pretty quiet either way. so back on topic, what kinds would you recommend?

Yes, people have been cited, usually as a secondary for not having the stamp, not necessarily for the noise.
Stock Harley's have to pass EPA noise levels to be street legal, just like other bikes. Harley dealers have discontinued the "screaming eagle" exhausts along with the Buell "race kit" muffler in order to comply with epa regs.

I`m biased to Yoshimura. Best bung for the buck IMO.

Are you thinking full system or slip-on?

Micron'S GP series look and sound great in my opinion...I'm not sure of their durability as I haven't owned one. I've seen and heard a few of them from other riders and they were really happy with them.

    Here's some pics...

Here's a sound clip...the dude gets a little carried away with it, but you get the idea.

hmmm that Micron sounds sick.... well I know the full exhaust is better for HP and what not and the slip should be for sound only right? I certainly would like a bit more of response but it's mostly the sound, the stock exhaust sounds kinda nice but I dk there's just something missing lol

I like the Leo Vince system. They make good power, sound great and have very good customer service.

That sounds nice.... hmmm so tasty . Are exhaust systems cheaper during the winter since it's off-season?

Yes it is an APA. I have not crash tested it but both Dion and Jason have. They seem to work well!

Local shops may or may not discount exhaust systems they have in stock but the manufacturers dont usually do that. Its always riding season somewhere.

Yup I have the same APA slider.... Ive actually tested mine twice Here is a pic of mine after 2 lowsides where the can was actually hit.... Ive since adjusted its location a bit further back to further help damage....(Of course I put a new one on as well) None the less, Im a fan and its cheep insurance... Get them at Faster or direct from Advancedperformanceaccessories.com
I now have them on both race and street bike.... Cant have to much protection I say.....

As far as the original question... Im quite partial to Akrapovic. I also have them on both race and street bikes. Their workmanship is second only to Leo Vince. Sound good, and usually a pretty good price...

Good luck on your decision and dont forget to post the pics of the after......
