track day new mexico Feb. 16th 17th

we ran the main track. it was fun just a lil dangerous. Basically a quarter mile drag just like ours, then a really tight infield unlike ours. you are pretty much going from full lean left to full lean right, etc. pretty crazy but fun

i got whooped in their expert classes. ran supersport and superbike, only beat one racer who also happend to travel up from co. i got my times down to 1:14 which was about 5 seconds off from the 600 champion. not bad i guess. justin meyer stepped up and took 3rd in supersport. lots of fun and 70 degree weather. I might be back down for round 2. the grids are super small, about 8-10 per class. and all the racer are within a couple seconds of each other. so you are either in the pack, or last which is where i spent most my time.

I would love to go but we already made plans to go to new mexico and my bike won't be in race trim by then....

Is Ara going to be able to make the grid in april?

The next race is at the East track, there arent any walls anywhere close, kinda like La Junta was except you dont have the danger of the front straight wall like LJ

you have a race bike, get it into race trim lol.

Ara will be on the grid maybe next month. He's a fighter and will probably go out like hoopty did at the beginning of 07. "Here Honey, can you grab the rear stand for me and while your at it, take these crutches."

If anybody has extra room for one more bike (no gear or people) please let me know

Time to hit the road. I never been at that track but sounds good to start the season.

I'm with flyingmonkey...never been to the track besides IMI. I'm down to roll & try a real track!

Nah, I wish I was doing the rock star thing but it isn't going to work out this time.

Basically, Jim and I had planned to put our bikes and crap in the back of his truck and drive down without a trailer. Well, now Sasha wants to go and we still don't want to take a trailer if we don't have too in an effort to save some gas money and hassle.

So.......

If anyone has a slot please let me know

Well Newyorkone and I we're gonna trailer down with the use of Hootpy hooking it up with his trailer but not sure if three fits on his. We could tow yours for ya as long as are bikes gets down there i dont care how. That would take care getting her bike and we could kick you down with some cash for using the trailer. Or you could tow it and throw are bikes in the back of the truck and we could kick you down for gas and what not. Might not work though we are gonna ride monday too. Its 500 to rent for the day max of 5 riders though due to inc. Flyinmonkey has room in his truck I'll hit him up. He's not on here much.
