    New Grips. Need some input

I'm putting new grips on and I was just wondering for those who have changed grips before what do you use as a "glue" for them?

One of my buddies that rides motocross said hairspray works really well, but I don't know.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks mucho

Just use soapy water. It helps slip the grips on and when it dries it sticks like glue. To get them off use a razor knife or shoot compressed air in between the grip and the bar end.

    Aqua Net.

Use this on my motorcycle grips as well as my Mountain Bike grips. They work very well - trust me.

Sounds gross but just slobber/spit into the new grips, wipe it around, and slip 'em on.

The Harley wemins wear the stuff. It lacquers up that bouffant doo so as the need to wear a helmet is negated.

Beware of the hair spray if you ride in the rain. If a little water gets in there it will let loose. I used hair spray on bicycle grips for years, and I found out about riding in the rain the hard way. Use weather strip adhesive, clear spraypaint, or grip glue.

Been using hair spray for years too. For the dirt bike I use actual grip glue, or hair spray and safety wire.
