Does anyone have plans to ride this weekend? Perhaps on Sunday? I was thinking about the usual MOCO meeting spot, but would not mind changing if convenient.... Anyone interested? Temps. and weather look good.

I'll be riding Sunday, not sure about hitting the canyons due to snow/ice/sand though.
285 may be fun to run up and down a few times.

Diego, how you been. What a cold ass winter it's been. I got 6 inches of ice in front of the house and can't even get the bike out. I might just have to throw down some sand and gravel to get the beast out and warmed up a little. Keep posted up here so I know where you are meeting and I will certainly try to make it. Doesn't matter where to me, it'll just be good to get out for a while.
Talk to you soon!
werd....
np man, next time.
Be good out there tho...
I was thinking the Conoco you get to if you exit C-470 at Morrison (W side). But by no means I see that as the only option, I just don't want to surf the lights in town, I was aming for some open road.
I may go scout some roads today, and see what may be appropriate...
Dude how are ya? let me know if you need help, if it is very bad I can take my trailer there and we can haul the bike out, or something.
Just in case....(970)769-3410
This evening I will post what I find out on the roads.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Well folks, Golden Gate canyon is pretty messy. Lots of gravel and even one point where snow still covers the road. It was entertaining trying to keep the bike in that one-foot-wide strip of almost-clean road with the 30-40mph wind gusts. P2P from GGC to Black Hawk was a little messy here and there. Oh, and it was chilly up there too, 25F.
Diego, always a pleasure riding with you. Thanks for letting me tag along.

Yep, pretty bad... worse than anticipated.
The only clean road was Hwy6 -> 119, up to Central city from Golden. Not great if to much traffic is on it.
Thanks for the company Dirk

Thanks for the offer but I just threw out some pea gravel on the ice and she makes it across just fine. I got about 15 ft to cross and it just makes me a little nervous every time on it. Got to get a photo of the ice rink tomorrow.
What time do you want to meet up tomorrow?
Do you have Tom B's (aka tomb) number? I havent seen him posting up here lately but he could certainly give us a heads up on Deckers? Some southies posted up that it was rideable, not summer time riding, but rideable.
I will just be glad to get out and on the bike so where doesn't really matter. I will probably get her down to the car wash around 9 and spray her off. What time do you want to meet?
I will say 10:30 at the MoCo for coffee and bull shittin'. Out to kill a few cells will check in the for changes.
Late
Diego,
I think I may join at 10:30 as well. See ya in the morning.
Cool, 10:30 at the MOCO then.
See you guys there.
