    Bike Won't Star

I have an '05 GSXR 600. The bike was running at idle last week and died when we gave it throttle. It hasn't started since. I've replaced the old gas, charged the battery, and checked the plugs. It cranks just fine but won't fire up. The red light on the gauge is flashing and in the temp spot it says "FI". Is my fuel pump dead already? Would a failed water pump cause the bike to not start? Any ideas?

Have you pulled the FI trouble codes yet?

google it or talk to a dealer to find out how to get the code. It could be throttle positioning sensor all the way to exhaust valve, to anything

I've looked at the dealer hook up to see if I could do the paper clip thing but how do I know which two to jump on the connector?

hehe thanks dirk. I stripped the bike to start setting it up as a race bike and I must have moved the TOS or something. I'm not sure what it looks like or exactly where it is so not sure how to fix it. If you need replacement body work for your 20th let me know

I would check in front of the battery under the gas tank. They are pretty simple devices and it's probably just a wire that got pulled loose.

I could use a right fairing panel for sure...

Cool. Let me know if you put your plastic up for sale. What kind of race plastic did you get?
