Posting in an "Add your name to the list" thread 101

Posting in an "Add your name to the list" thread can be a daunting task. Not to worry, these simple guidelines can have you posting like a Pro in no time!
Step 1: Locate the last poster who added themselves to the list.
Be sure you use the most current list! Normally, this is the list that is posted last in the thread.
Step 2: Copy the list to your computer "clipboard"
In this step you will be highlighting the list. On most systems this can be accomplished by clicking just before the first letter or number in the list and holding your left mouse button. While holding the button, drag the cursor to the right and bottom of the list. Be sure you get the entire list!
When you have selected the entire list, release the left mouse button. Move your mouse over a highlighted area and right click. Select "Copy" from the resulting menu:
Step 3: When you have your copied list all nice and tucked away, you are ready to scroll a bit father down the page and click the "Post Reply" button:
Step 4: You are now at the screen that will allow you to add your updated list!
***WARNING*** Improper use of the Post function can cause inflammation! Use with caution!
Right click on the empty space provided for your new post, and select the paste function:
Step 5: You are now ready to add your name! Scroll to the bottom of your newly created list. Place your cursor at the end of the previous poster's entry and press the ENTER or RETURN key. This will create a new line for you. Before adding your name, increment any numbers that may be included in the list by one (1), and be sure to include any punctuation that may be used by those before you (i.e 23: or 61. ) Enter your name afterwards:
***Please note: Highlighting in the example is for illustration purposes only!
Step 6: After you have reviewed your post, you may click the preview or submit button.
***WARNING*** Improper use of the submit function may lead to inflammation! Use with caution!
Voila!! You have now added your name to a running list thread, just like the Pros do!
Like most computer tasks, there are other methods that you can use to accomplish this. This example illustrates only one of the many options at your disposal. Once you have mastered this technique, you can move on to more advanced concepts like "hot keys"!
