Until recent, I have only ridden Dirt. The one place I have visited a lot though is Spruce Wood Inn. It is right off the Rampart Range trail system, but you can take the paved roads there also. Highway 67 to be more precise. The food is good, burgers and burritos, but the atmosphere is what gets me in there. older cabin/bar/restaurant.

Re: Best Places to Ride to Eat?

After reading about Efrain's I remembered a place straight in from Coal Creek Canyon or HWY 72(which is an awesome ride) there is some of the best green chili I have found, way better than Santiagos and comparable to the Boulder Efrain's.

It's a place called G's burrito grill, and they have margs that are killer too. If your coming in from 93 take hwy 72 east, then go left(north) on Indiana, make a right(east) at the next light which is 96th and the road twists and then you hit a stop sign but just keep heading straight(east) until you see the diamond shamrock on your right. It's directly on the left of the gas station. The closest cross street is 100th and Wadsworth.

I am a mexican food critic(uncertified of course) and this is the best quick mexican I have found here in the front range so far.

Sangrita's in Westcliffe. If you click on the link and click on the "Collaborosity" link on the main page, you'll see what the restaurant is trying to do to change up their menu every so often. The atmosphere there was great. I liked the decor, too. I wouldn't mind going back to sit out on the patio next time.

I had the Blackened Chicken pita with spicy ranch. The ranch was homemade...so not the typical store brand of spicy ranch. The fries were hand cut, so not the typical frozen fries.

Gary (GuitarX) had the Greek Burger shown below -- featuring feta cheese and olives.

The chicken club sammich was damn tasty as well. This place is a keeper, for sure.

Mountain Rose Cafe in Winter Park -- "Redneck mountain fusion with a dash of hippie love."

I had the Venetian Goddess Frittata.

This little cafe can be found closer to the far end of town. Amazing food. Great service. Very creative chef and they make and serve homemade bread.

Was up at Lake Branaird (Ward) last weekend and we stopped here for lunch. Damn, they had huge portions for low prices. The food was good, the staff attentive. The only drawback was it is apparently a Hardley hangout, too.

+1 They seem to like when we stop in, never having any qualms with a large group (10-15). Zokas is in the town of Pine.
