    "Previous track experience required"?

I have e-mailed, as has a friend of mine, Track Addix, because I am planning a couple of track days this May while I am on vacation. I used to race CCS when I lived in south Florida and have my racing license which has long since expired. I am curious if this qualifies as proof of track experience? If anyone can help with either an answer, or a better way to contact someone, it would be much appreciated.

When ive ran with track addix they didn't require proof of previous experience, just required it. If you used to race, you would have been golden. Im not sure that this hasn't changed, so a call to them is still probably a good idea.

Mike, you should be fine. Last summer when some friends and I did a couple of days with TrackAddix, they never asked for proof. I took their class anyway in June. In September when I was there with some friends, 3 of them hadn't taken their class and weren't asked for proof of previous track experience. Somebody at TrackAddix, probably Dean, should respond to you. Sometimes it took them a few days to get back to me. Their phone # is (720) 685-8972. Have fun at MPH.

Thanks guys. 720 area code? Is TA run locally, or just someone with some info? Thanks again for the help.

Out of Brighton. Mark Nudelman, former MRA racer and the guy handling the MRA season program is also involved with TA.

We're thinking about meeting a friend from IA at the Omaha track or at Hastings sometime this summer for a TA trackday.

Crunch - I responded to your PM

Everyone else - Track Addix runs track days on tracks outside of Colorado. I don't have anything to do with there requirements...or even know what their requirments are. I only deal with PMP and its insurance requirements.

With that said, Dean who is one of the owners lives in either brighton or broomfield...thats how come the 720 area code

Hopefully that clears up any confusion

I'm planning on doing both tracks as well in may. I'm meeting a friend from Wisconsin for those dates. Its usually Jeep outings, this year its the bikes.

Actually, MAM is in Iowa, but it is close to Omaha.

Cool. Never been there, but the guy from IA has been to a couple of track days and refers to MAM as the Omaha track.

I was confused for a while when he was saying we could go to Mid America, I thought we were going to the big cool track in Wisconsin. No such luck.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Where PMI stands on this issue is:

If you have previous CLASS instruction (outside the Colorado approved classes)you can come to the track. Remember to bring your class certificate with you.

We will or have another bike rider assess your ability, inform you of safety items strictly enforced at PMP. If one of our instructors are on site please meet with them. You can ask us who they are.

If after meeting with them your good to go, I will add your name to our approved user list.

If you have any additional questions, please just let me know.

MAM is a kick ass track, and worth the day's drive to get out there if you have the chance. Sort of like Pueblo, but much closer to sea level so you get the benefit of the extra HP.

TA is also a good group of people and put on a good track day.
