are they good for street use as take-offs after 3 or 4 track day sessions?
do they have set numbers of heat cycles?

Hey,
So I'm not much of a fan as race take off's as street tires. They never really get warm enough on the street to work right and don't have enough tread cut in them to be very effective in the rain. You'll never heat cycle it on the street, so that's not really anything to worry about.
My recommendation would be to get a good street tire, like a pilot power or road for the street bike and leave the race tires to the track.
Best regards
Scott
I use to run Gene's pilot race's and they seemed OK. What Rybo is saying about the rain is true. they were the sketchiest thing in the rain I have ever ridden.
Only place they ever got hot enough to really make a difference was Deal's Gap.
Get some good street tires.
