    Doing your own full service.

Ok, I been paying a guy I know to do my fulll service to my bike, meaning, dumping all my fluids and putting in new, make sure my chain is tight, check my tire presser, adjust my clutch, ect. I was going to ask, might there be an online guide to doing this your self? I have a 05 CBR600RR, and he charged me about $125 bucks to do it, and thats not bad because apex here in the springs wanted more so, he gave it to me on a deal kind of anyway.

So I was going to ask, because everyone tells me it's simple, I know you cant use you car motor oil I been rideing long enough to know that, but as for doing the job your self how hard is it, and is there anything that might help me to learn to do it myself. If it's anything like a car, then im down I can do it for sure, but I wanted to ask first thank you guys.

I do as much of my own service as possible. It is easy, and if you have a technical manual, even better. I recently synced my throttle boddies. That was a bit harder than anything I've done so far. I also change my own tires. Get with riders you know, and they will help you.

You can do most of it yourself with simple tools. You will need the right oil and filters before you start but it is "as" simple as a car.

If you need more detailed information just let me know.

Just get the manual and do it yourself. After you do it yourself a few times, you'll wonder why you ever paid someone.

I jumped into doing carb work on my old FZR and came out knowing a good amount. For hydraulic cutch and brakes, I recommend a brake bleeder, just make sure that you dont mix up the fluids. Good luck and remember there is tons of local support here.
