My bet...if Rossi switches rides for 09 that he'll be on the Ducati, from which he'll retire from racing motorcycles.

^^^I don't know, look what Rossi did with the M1, Yamaha was struggling, Rossi showed up and made it a championship winning bike. I have a feeling he could do the same with the Kawi, imagine if he won? It would just add to the lore that he is the greatest of all time.
What if he did go to ducati, but didn't win? I don't think Rossi's ego could handle it.
If Rossi wins on a Kawi: He'll be regarded as a savior and his legend will get even bigger.
If Rossi wins on the Ducati, but doesn't win the championship he'll be viewed as a failure.

regardless of what Rossi rides he'll be considered one of the best motorcycle racers off all time. if you ask random people if they have heard of Valentino Rossi some might say ya, but then if you ask them what bike he rides i guarentee you many have no clue. so if he were to hop on a kawi and win it would make no difference. same for if he were to hop any other bike.

well someone's gotta stick up for Yamaha here. Rossi will doubtfully leave Yamaha. They had a handful of mechanical issues last year that hindered his points scoring pretty hard. Thus far this year he appears to be doing well. No mechanical issues as of yet, just Danny. If he keeps riding in the ball park he has been so far he stands a chance for a come back.
