    New AMA class structure

    http://www.cyclenews.com/ShowStory.asp?HeadlineID=12163

Glad they're not killing off the "literbikes", but don't agree with them killing off the 600 class either, and replacing it with thr proposed "Moto-ST". class.

As I mentioned before, I think the class structure should be:
    1000cc superbikes
    1000cc Superstock
    600cc Superbikes
    600cc Superstock

    but, what the hell..

We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

    Re: New AMA class structure

So, according to this article, the Superbike class will be the 600s (middleweight power) and the "Literbike" class sounds like the current Superstock class with fewer GSXRs allowed to play. (That is, if "max participation limit" means only so many Brand X bikes can be on the grid. If that's true, who decides who can or can't ride Brand X?)

If all of this is true, this restructuring could be turned into the best ad campaign ever for Suzuki -

"We won so many races that they had to change the rules."
