    Are you folks certain the tire didn't just break loose on a surface defect of the track? There is a distinct black line trailing out from the back of his tire when he wrecks. A patch line? Oil line? Or just an old tire mark?

    Surely all the strategies you folks have posted could have saved him from his folly if not actually prevented his breaking loose, but I think the surface triggered a slide that wouldn't otherwise have happened.
