    Headlight fuse keeps blowing??

My YZF600R recently began having electrical tantrums and I'd like to get your opinions as to why.

The symptom is that the headlight fuse keeps blowing. I'll put a new one in and everything is fine for several minutes and then for no obvious reason, it just blows. I thought it may be an old battery problem, so I replaced the battery, but it still keeps happening. Any ideas as to what I should be fixing/replacing?

Have you traced the wires to insure you don't have any shorts?

That's most likely the problem, but I strongly dislike chasing wires so I am grasping at straws hoping it might be something else. I had the bike in the shop before this started happening, so I'm afraid something got crimped in the rebuilding process.

had a similar problem in my mustang... small knick in a wire was causing a short. took a few minutes to build up enough heat to blow the fuse...

and yes, chasing wires sux, but at least it's on a bike, you don't need to hang upside down under a dashboard for hours on end!
