Things to do in Djibouti when you don't have a motorcycle

Duck taped my camera to the bumper of a go-kart here in Africa at the local track, little bootleg karts move pretty good!! Pretty shaky but slick camera angle.. Started last and finished first.. Try'n represent the ol' CSC on a course..

I think the last time I got to drag a knee was in January.. I face planted on my long board in Afghanistan near the flight line.. luckily only a few dozen people watched.. ..the scars still healing..

I was there in 1988 (Navy) for a brief stop for fuel after transiting the Suez Canal.

That place is where God inserts the enema. I actually saw a guy walk off the street and take a dump on the curb (actually there was no curb), and walk off.

Nasty place....but the carts looked fun....just watch your step

Damn this place must have been WAY ghetto back in the 80's, I got friends who were here in the late 90's and its a lot nicer now than it was when they were here.. but ya still got to watch out for crap.. There's definitely still a lot of shitty areas here, but I'll take go-karts and bowling pins on strings over mortar attacks from jackasses in Afghanistan anytime.. plus we got beer!! woot! what more could you ask for?..
