2001 TL1000R with little mods but fun to ride just about anywhere. Went back to a twin after the 929 burned up.
When you meet someone new why do they tend to tell you how good or fast they can ride and then wreck shortly afterwards??

I counted about 15 cars from the start of 141 to Naturita and only 1 car from Naturita to the border. Oh yeah, I didn't see one cop between Palisade and Moab.

That place is awesome. I've been looking for work down there ever since my trip. Not to many openings though and with the openings there are the pay scale is very low. But, I can still dream.

Re: Let's see pics of your bike.

God, I have no idea where all my old time slips are, but mid to low 12's.
And I was able to run that way because I am a girl (At least I am thinking, because not one time have they checked my bike much more than chain gaurd and to ask if it is really mine. Notice that my visior is not even down, and half the time I forgot to put my gloves on. I do have full gear to ride/race now (all matching, joe rocket boots, etc.) but I was young and stupid back then (I was 18 in that pic). I did manage to get (almost) booted after my wheelie stunt. I was just asked to please cool it for the night (test and tune night).

mid to low 12's? what do you have done to the bike? I hit a low low 12 on mine, but that was here in Tucson(elevation 3k feet) I'm assuming that pic is at Bandimere?(elevation 6k feet)

Re: Let's see pics of your bike.

Yeah, I have done a few little things to it. Not too much really. Geared, exhaust (slip on with cermic coated from the headers), K&N and shimmed the carbs as far as I can without changing or jetting (which is not much as Suzuki thinks americans are idiots). Honestly though, I think all I had at that time was slip on. I did not do shims or filter till I dropped a cylinder (bad running carbs) and had to take it apart. And for some reason it is just a fast bike...I bought it used and from what I can see the person before never touched it (like lucky they changed the oil type nothing). I did talk to the guy at TFOG, and he had one gix 6 running similar to mine, and one that was significantly slower, both same year with same shit done to them. Guess I just got a good one! That and I am an awesome rider!
