Yeah, a lot of mexico is more beautiful than just about anywhere in the US, the border cities give it a bad nameI especially like Colima, parts of Guadalajara (and it's suburbs), Mazamitla, parts of PV, etc.

Sounds like an awesome trip. Too bad about the deer, and glad you weren't hurt and managed to make it home instead of being stuck that far from home. I like the Google trip thing, although too bad it doesn't linkt to specific sets of pics at your indicated waypoints.
