Anyone ridden the new track at Watkins? I was out there on Friday and it’s okay but I think I like the old track better. The new track does force me to work on a couple of my weaknesses…corners with no berm and lots of chop. I can say that I was the fastest rider on the track for once…and that’s b/c I was the only one out there during the heat of the day. Yes, it was HOT!!!

New? Did they change the layout again (since the last month)?

How was the dirt? Did they water?

I've been practicing on and off there to get used to taking the bad line through a corner so when I need that skill in a race it'll be there.

I haven’t been out there since March, so I mean the old track that has been mostly the same for years. They only water on Wednesday’s and the weekend. Lots of rocks in the new dirt but not near the hard pack of the old track, which is mostly a good thing.
