    I can has Ironbutt?

I completed my first Ironbutt yesterday. I took a trip back to Wisconsin to visit my grandmother last Wednesday. I split the journey up on the way there, but on yesterday I did the whole thing in one day. Total from door to door was about 1130 miles by the odometer.

Here's a link to a google map of the trip.

It was a fun trip. The VFR handled it well.

I have done 2 x 1000+ daays on my old Hawk. Wish I knew what to do to get an IBA at the time. Maybe I will do it on the CBR.

Here's the rules for the Saddle Sore 1000. Kind of a PIA (no pun intended) but if it's worth it to ya...

I think the hardest part was finding a witness at the beginning and end. My start was easy cause my friend's wife is an early riser, but the end witness didn't work due to our unplanned 1.5 hour stop on the side of I-15 in the middle of the night.

I put all of my info together, I just haven't made it to the post office.

I've thought about doing almost that same ride (I'm from Waukesha, WI) but it seems so long and straight and boring! Long straight roads get me in trouble How long did it take you?

Unfortunately I didn't hear about the Ironbutt until halfway through the ride. A random biker at a gas station asked if I had saved my receipts, which I never do. Oh well, I'll have to do it again someday. The ride took me about 16 hours total.

    SaddleSore or Bun-Burner complete package,
verification, pin, plate back and certificate
basically bragging rights and one of these...

VFR's are very comfortable. I could do a ride like that on one for those. However on my ninja I was aching after 250 miles. I kinda want to go to mn to see my brother I wonder how long of a trip that is?
