    I don't believe PMP requires any safety wire, but if I remember correctly, they do appreciate non-glycol based coolant.

    Even cheaper. If I understand correctly, all military get 50% off. Pueblo is normally only $75 for a full day so you do the math.

    Great work and an amazing way to show appreciation to our soilders!!!

    I would need some 6'8" leathers so don't think it's going to happen but man that would be AWESOME for a newb like me to try it out!

    Also, do the normal things like water, no mirrors(glass), full leathers etc... apply here? Sorry, figured I'd ask the resident experts!

    Judy and Kurt are trying to get a count of how many people will be at this. I think if we have enough people they might open the concessions. If not, I'll maybe bring down the grill and show off my cooking skilz for y'all.

    My neighbor and I will be there, so that's

    It's about 90 minutes from the DTC, more from Aurora. I don't think they are charging extra for the orientation, but bring the checkbook in case I'm wrong.

    You have an ID, I used to get the same discounts when I was in ROTC. You swore an oath the ROTC and you get paid (not much but you do) so I'd say yes.

    Re: PMP Military Appreciation Day

    Hey Guys;

    I was just going to post a reminder thread about our upcoming Military Appreciation Day --- and BAM! someone already beat me to it here! Let me clear some things up for you.....

    Thursday - September 11, 2008

    Judy and her car school have rented the track and graciously invited us biker types to come as well. The track will be separated into sessions for cars vs. bikes. We have the track for 20 minutes every hour (from :20 to :40). The day is 8:00 - 4:00. Bike prep is very casual as we are trying to lure some noob's out for the track experience. I would prefer to see lights and mirrors removed, but tape is fine. You need to have protective riding gear - helmets, boots, gloves, leathers... and I prefer back protectors. I will be "teching" bikes for safety issues like active oil leaks, bald/excessively worn tires, flapping plastics... etc.

    The cost is $100.00 unless you are active military, fire, or police.... then it is 50% off. The proceeds are benfitting a military family based in Colorado.

    The day will start with a track riding "Basics" class by me, followed by a track walk.... this is great for seasoned guys or new riders. Riding 20 minutes every hour is great because that will allow for face time to answer your questions or help you out in the pits. Plus it will force you to rest and hopefully hydrate ---- I recommend starting the hydration process .... NOW!

    Pre-registration is available on www.freetrackday.com or you can pay at the track.... but the pre-registration really helps Judy and I prepare for the day.

    Thanks and SEE YOU THERE.
