Lesson 1 -parking bikes too close........Tank dent repair?

So long story short. Our FZ600 and R1 were parked on the street. The FZ600 got backed into and fell on the R1.

R1 has minor scratches on the front fairing. (REALLY PISSES ME OFF since I was really enjoying my cherry 07 R1).

The FZ600 fell on the crash slider on the R1 and caved a 6" section of tank in. Since this was an 87 FZ600 finding a replacement tank is not easy/cheap.

Has anyone had luck getting a dent in a tank pulled?

my dad could pull most of it out if you would like and finish it with paint. he's done many bikes and some CSC'ers bikes and they turned out really nice.
