so whoever gets the money to one of us first gets the biggest bed

hey Jon i'm still getting use to the thing, it's going to take me a while before i can actually ride the thing like it needs to be ridden

i'm gald you guys are still planning on the trip it's going to be a blast

the house is going to save everyone a bunch of money on lodging and on food. we can grocery shop when we get there and cook our meals as we go. that will save mucho dinero.

hey thanks in advance guys for helping us with the house deposit. most of the money has to be given up front

Right now I will say $150 reserves your spot at the house for all 6 nights! Yes, it is very CHEAP! So start responding but once you pay and say you are going.....you have PAID. I will not get to a month before departure and then someone cancels and everyone has to come up with more $$. The amount could change depending on the nubmer of people going, but this will reserve your spot. You can talk to myself or Gramps (Tom) if needed.
Count me in for this trip, too.

High speed internet at either of these houses?

Re: The Dragon : April 15-22-05

    sully-

costs for the house for the week will be 150.00

    that will reserve your spot

as far as getting the bikes there, don't worry

we have a few trailers available at this point, so plenty of room

the gas cost getting out there and back will be the biggest expense. it will cost somewhere in the range of 200.00 per person probably.

then figure in food. which we are going to grocery shop when we get there and cook at nights so the food cost will be minimal. maybe 75 for the week.

then figure in a few incidentals and some souviniers and you are at about 600.00 for the week tops. pretty cheap vacation if you ask me

and it will be great times. good riding and good people to be out there with.

Re: The Dragon : April 15-22-05

AAAAAAAlrighty Then! The house has been booked on my credit card. Talked with the owner (Ron) for about 35 minutes today, a great guy. His website is Tail of the Dragon
He lives my the homes, they have 2 rentals. Also Kill Boy lives there as well......Kill Boy Website. Kill boy will be at the Gap Saturday and Sunday and can take photos of us and possibly some video. If you have not seen his work he is AWESOME! I am waiting to hear from him specifically today or tomorrow so it is set up with him. Ron will try to ride with us to for one day. He is extremely friendly and can't wait to meet all of us. He was in Colorado this summer for some trail riding and loved it here. The house should be great and have game room, hot tub, indoor garage, etc... He did state that the trees will just be starting to leaf out, which means seeing through corners will be GREAT! Also he stated that the red/blue (cops) will not be even patrolling at all during this time. I know myself and Gramps are stoked for this trip. We will get a number of people who are going to figure in total cost of the house. We will then also figure the traveling, trailers, cars, etc.... I think the trip will be a little less than what Tom stated above, but fuel will be the biggest expense expecially with our prices right now, maybe they will go down. The house has 7 single beds and a couch. He said they have had huge groups and people set up tents, bring campers etc.... I am not worried about sleeping, as a sleeping bag works for me. Probably take some air mattresses too! Anyway that is the details I have right now....Oh, we can also go to Tail of the Dragon Wharehouse right there and get discounted clothing and other stuff since we are staying at their lodging.....

Awesome, thanks for hooking this up Curtis.

I know for myself money is a bit tight until after christmas, but I can get you the 150 right after the holidays if that is ok. (Still waiting on Tom to figure out what happens at the store during that time also...)

    Let the countdown begin!!

No doubt! Thanks for fronting the $$ for this. It'll probably be after the 1st of the year before I'll have it to give to you since I lost my J.O.B.

Re: The Dragon : April 15-22-05

Alright.....from the talk of Tom in the tent with monkey love going on and now "chubby" talk I am a little worried. After the first of the year is fine for payment. Keyser is also doing that as well. To my count we have 7 riders so far....possibly more. That will be GREAT!
Nate was the first to get me money...its in my hand.
SOOOOOO, for being the first to get money he wanted first pick of beds. I believe this is only fair, so Nate you will be sharing a bed with Tom, and most likely it sounds like in a tent in the back yard
Just FYI, all of the beds from what I can tell are singles. Don't know why they set the house up this way, but I don't care as long as there is a place for a sleeping bag. Like i said I will take a air mattress or two. There is also a couch of course.
The countdown begins and more detail to come at a later date.

I think I'll pass on the Tommy Tent in the back yard, although I would consider sharing my DVDs if he asks nicely .
